If you can breathe, you can do Yoga
Any body can do yoga. From kids to people in their 90's, from dancers to soldiers, from health nuts to couch potatoes, if you have a body and you can control your breathing, you can practice yoga. Yoga is an ancient science of the mind. In modern western society, this has come to mean (popularized) as doing stretches. This is what is known has "Hatha Yoga" - the physical practices. There are deeper practices involving breathing (pranayama) and meditation that have even more profound effects.
Regardless of where you are starting from, anyone can receive benefits from practicing any part of Yoga. Whether you do Hatha once a week or meditation daily, the benefits are often profound. The most astounding thing of yoga is how everyone benefits.
I specialize in bringing yoga to specific communities, but I always remember: any body can do yoga! Welcome!
